23rd Galway Film Fair Thursday 11th - Sunday 14th July 2019

A unique opportunity to meet with the world’s leading financiers in an intimate and informal atmosphere, allowing new talent to be discovered and long term partnerships to be made.

The Marketplace co-ordinates pre-scheduled meetings between filmmakers with projects in development (priority will be given to projects which have a finished screenplay available and a percentage of development and/or production finance in place) and/or completed films and invited Film Financiers, Distributors, Sales Agents, Broadcasters, Film Funds and Major Producers.The Galway Film Fair’s unique selling points:

  • Showcasing new European and International cinema to leading Film Buyers, Distributors and Festival Programmers

Further to organising meetings between decision makers and content producers, the Marketplace also facilitates the networking of producers amongst each other.

We are proud to announce the Best Marketplace Project Award, in association with Bankside Films, will be presented to the project judged best in the Marketplace. A panel of industry experts will select the winner, who will be awarded a €3000 cash prize at our award ceremony on Sunday July 14th.

Terms & conditions

  1. A company may put forward up to 2 delegates to attend the Galway Film Fair marketplace:
    1. Each delegate must pay the application fee
    2. If delegates wish to take separate meetings, separate applications must be submitted
    3. Only registered applicants will be allowed to attend meetings
  2. Applications will not be processed without receipt of the registration fee
  3. Fees & deadlines:

    Early-bird application fee: €195 for a single delegate/€390 for delegation of 2
    Deadline: Friday April 12th, 2019 at 5p.m. G.M.T.

    Regular application fee: €250 for a single delegate/€500 for delegation of 2
    Deadline: Friday May 31st, 2019 at 5p.m. G.M.T.

  4. Application fees are processed by PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay. To pay by credit/debit card, please use the ‘Login as guest’ or ‘Pay by card’ when paying
  5. Applications are processed by Eventival
  6. You may submit up to 2 projects in a single application. The synopsis/synopses, along with your company details will be included in a publication, entitled the ‘Industry Handbook’, which will be available for all decision makers at the Marketplace
  7. Applicants should note that priority will be given to projects which have a percentage of development and/or production finance in place
  8. Treatments should not be included at this stage, they may be handed over at individual meetings
